All packages are inclusive of stay, breakfast and evening Tea / Coffee. Lunch, dinner (if any) need to be ordered at an additional cost.

All children under the age of 8 are allowed for free. All children above the age of 8 are charged as adults. We recommend you carry an authorised age proof of your children to verify their age.

Children below the age of 8 will not be provided with additional beds. They can utilise the sofa-cum-beds in the cabin to sleep.

Jio works best in the vicinity of Nakshatram. Full mobile and internet coverage is available for Jio. No mobile or internet coverage is available for other service providers.

You usually book villas on websites such as Airbnb and Saffron Stays. These properties are typically one single unit or bungalow, with a common living room and attached bedrooms. Our concept of an open villa is having a large living room out in the open, and bedrooms located adjacently but as separate cabins. This means you get to have the the entire resort to yourself. This gives you the freedom to use Nakshatram as you please during gatherings, and retreat in the comforts of your own space later on.

DURING THE WEEKENDS (Friday to Monday)
We do not offer cabins to be booked individually. You can only book the entire property. Ideally it is suitable for group sizes between 6 to 20 people. (12 accommodated in cabins and 8 in camping tents)

Yes. However please drink only as much as you can manage. We do not sell alcohol. So if you must indulge, please get your own liquor. If you are sharing the property with other guests, please do not drink in the common areas.

No. Smoking indoors is not permitted. Smoking in the washrooms is not permitted. If smoke is detected in the washrooms, a cleaning fee of Rs 1000 will be charged to the guests at the time of checkout. Smoking is okay in the common areas outdoors. Cigarette butts to be disposed in the ash trays only. If there are other guests in the property, and if they complain about the smoke, we will have to request you to put it off. Please be mindful about NOT smoking in the vicinity of children and pregnant women.

Yes, we serve sumptuous veg and non-veg food. We follow a fixed menu system. We will get in touch with you after your booking confirmation and ask your for your food preferences.

We have pre-set meals, and no A La-carte. Nakshatram is located several kilometers from the market. Therefore, it is very challenging to procure ingredients to serve you. Therefore, we work on a preorder basis.

We realise that pets are our phenomenal companions, therefore Nakshatram is pet friendly. However, please keep pets outdoors in covered spaces. Do not get pets inside the rooms on the beds or sofas. We expect our guests to get their own pet food as stocking up pet food is not a practical option for us. Please make sure that your pet does not disturb the harmony of other guests.

Check-in time : 12:00PM Check-out time : 10:00AM If there are no bookings prior or later, we may allow early check-ins and late check-outs. However, please do not take this flexibility for granted. If there are any time deviation requests, please consult our staff prior to arriving at the property.

If you book from other third-party websites like Airbnb, their cancellation policies will be applicable.

If you book from us directly, the following cancellation policies will be applicable.

1) Once payment has been made, in no event will it be 100% refundable.

2) 90% refund is applicable for cancellations within 8 days of the check-in. For example – If your booking is for Saturday Jan 20th, 90% of booking amount shall be refunded if you cancel the booking by Friday Jan 12th.

3) No date changes or refunds will be entertained for any cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled check-in date.

4) No date changes or refunds will be entertained for any stays during the 3-Day Holidays, Long Weekends, Diwali, Christmas and New Years (26 Dec – 1 Jan) period.

Yes, we have a 24×12 Ft above-the-ground swimming pool. The depth of the pool is 4 Ft. It is a different type of pool that what some might be used to seeing. Please check out the photographs of the pool from the Gallery section.

“Velhe offers different patterns of beauty in different seasons.

Summer: Summers are hot but it is a great time for some seasonal fruits. Also, it cools down at night even during the summers, so the nights are usually pleasant. Summers offer some incredible sunsets at Nakshatram. The best part about summers is there is firefly season towards the end of Summer. Firefly territory starts just a couple of kilometers away from Nakshatram. So these couple of weeks is when you can give yourself and your loved ones a lifetime of memories.

Monsoon: When it rains in Velhe, it pours. Velhe is Rice territory. So Monsoons are buzzing with plantation activities. We will be happy to take you to a rice plantation expedition if you so wish. The experience of getting drenched in pure natural water is amazing. What a lot of our guests also enjoy is sipping hot coffee in the private porch while watching the rain. The white noise of the pouring rain is just what the mind needs to calm down and rejuvenate.

Winters: Winters are a pleasant time during the day and become chilly as the sun sets. There are several harvest festivals and events to celebrate during this time. A cold wintery night is also a great time for barbecue conversations around a bonfire. What we enjoy the most during this time is turning off all the ambient lights, lying down in the lawn with a warm blanket on, and looking at the infinity above and the infinity within.

You may also fill out a contact form on this website, and we will reach out to you with all the details. You can then proceed with your booking by transferring the amount to our bank account. Once you have paid 100% of room tariff, your booking shall be confirmed.

Booking through Airbnb: Nakshatram is available to be booked on Airbnb as well. Your booking via Airbnb  will only be confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from them.

Sometimes, you might be rate differences while booking from Airbnb and from us. This is because third-party websites like Airbnb apply offers. You may book through a platform which offers you the best rates. 

Booking Entire Property
4 people can comfortably sleep in each cabin. We have 3 cabins, so there are comfortable beds available for 12 people. If your group size is more than 12, we will be able to provide you with mattresses or we can accommodate additional people in simple camping tents. Currently, we do not recommend Nakshatram for a group of more than 20 people.

Booking Individual Cabins
Apart from the King bed available in each cabin which comfortably sleeps 2 guests, we have a sofa-cum-bed which can sleep additional 2 guests. We cannot accommodate more than 4 guests per cabin.

We require an Indian Government recognised valid photo ID and address proof for each guest. The documents accepted are – Aadhar, Driving License or Passport. For children, we request you to carry a valid age proof in addition to their ID proof.

We have nothing to do with your marital status, as long as you are above the age of 18. Under certain circumstances we may ask for valid ‘age verification’ documents approved by the Government of India. Couples or Groups under the age of 18 years may not be permitted in the property without adult supervision.

We do not have a room service facility.

Wifi facility is available via a 4G dongle. Usually wifi is reliable and multiple devices can connect. But sometimes due to fluctuating internet service, wifi might be unreliable.

Here is what the food may look like. However, there may be changes to this pre set menu. Please treat the below as a guideline and not a commitment.

Breakfast: Pohe / Upma / Misal Pav / Bread Omelette / Boiled Eggs. Tea and coffee is provided along with the breakfast.

Evening Tea: Tea / Coffee and Biscuits.

Lunch and Dinner: One dry veg / non-veg item, One gravy veg / non-veg item, Chapatis / Bhakri, Salad, Papad, Pickle, Dal and Rice. Limited quantity of sweet is provided along with Lunch or Dinner.

Evening Snacks: Snacks such as Kanda Bhaji, Maggi, Boiled Eggs, etc are available at an additional cost.
